Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. a few months ago i found a lump in my left breast. it's been a frustrating process, to say the least. i'm sure it's fine, but docs haven't been able to give me an answer with 100% cerntainty, and i'm not sure how to resolve that! nobody likes uncertainty, so why is it so hard to figure this out?! in this episode i talk about what the journey of ultrasounds and second and even third opinions has been like. i'm definitely not a doctor, nor am i very knowledgable about breast cancer and breast lumps -- this is just my personal experience. this is also your reminder to give yourself a self-examination every now and then if it pertains to you! i had a big self-care day of therapy and catching up with my psychiatrist. tldr i am, of course, still experiencing anxiety and depression symptoms, but frustrated by how i keep just getting pushed to increase my meds dosage. i want to work on the root of these symptoms and not just tack on band-aid solutions. my therapist also suggested ketamine infusion to work on some ptsd symptoms and i'm curious if anyone here has tried that before or know people who have?
