Nowadays, everyone is looking for tips, tricks, tools, and workarounds to combat their ‘perceived’ weaknesses. That weakness could manifest in the form of psychosocial pain, physical pain, or emotional pain. The truth is, no one sees the world as you do; similarly, no one sees you as you do. So, what are we really comparing our pain to? We can only guess how we should be feeling by how we view our world at any given moment, or what we call our experiences.

You are constantly changing with your environment. You are experiencing your life as it is reflected back to you – but only if you are open to it and present. Your mind can act as your best friend or your worst enemy. How do you make it your friend? You begin a meditation practice, starting with three minutes a day.

Meet today’s guest, Richard Dixey, who will show us how to begin to meditate by starting with three minutes a day. Richard Dixey, PhD, is a scientist and lifelong student of Asian philosophy. He runs the Light of Buddhadharma Foundation in India with his wife Wangmo, the eldest daughter of Tibetan lama Tarthang Tulku. He is a senior faculty member at Dharma College in Berkeley and divides his time between California and India.
