Manage episode 331135452 series 3335430
Zev Rose Woolley is a non-binary, Jewish filmmaker, photographer and event producer who’s work focuses on the positive, coloful aspects of queerness. This episode explores queer representation in media, the toxicity of hustle culture in the entertainment industry, and questioning societal judgments to connect to what feels good for you. Zev shares stories of their years of exploring their unique passions and creative talents; from an aspiring Planet Earth cinematographer, to a screenwriter, production designer and more. We talk about finding the relationship between making art and making money, the importance of independent filmmakers, and finding your “reasons to stay”. Zev reminds us to find and enjoy the art that speaks to us.
**NOTE Since the recording of this podcast our guest has changed their name from Shaina to Zev- yay for finding your authentic self! In the episode I refer to them as Shaina, but from now on you can refer to them and find them on the internet as Zev Rose Woolley :)
