However, the hearts of folks during the holidays are easily swayed to give, making it an opportune time for fraud and scammers to attack. If you suspect a scam, don’t respond. Report it to your bank or company the scam is directed to by calling them directly or use their Fraud reporting email

Report it to the FCT at ReportFraud.ftc.gov Report it even if you didn't pay. Your report helps law enforcement. A police report may help when you deal with the card issuer.
