Dr. Ann Burgess, a psychiatric clinical nurse, began her ground breaking career assessing and treating trauma in rape victims and co-founding one of the first hospital based crisis counseling programs at Boston City Hospital. This got the attention of the FBI who asked her to assist them in investigating serial rapists and murderers.
