At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Chris Mears shared the honour of becoming Great Britain’s first Olympic Diving champion. Along with Jack Laugher, the pair won the gold medal in the synchronised 3m springboard event.
For the first My Defining Moments episode of 2021, Chris speaks openly about the mental health struggles he’s had since winning Olympic gold and how the recent lockdown has helped him.
Plus we hear the story of his near death experience as a teenager, receiving an MBE from Prince Charles and being able to feel the crowd in his feet at London 2012!
