They also talk about a cohort study - https://dtb.bmj.com/content/63/6/84 - that assessed whether gabapentinoid use was associated with severe exacerbations among patients aged >55 years with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Their discussion includes issues relating to diagnosis, effectiveness of medication, starting and titrating medication and some of the common adverse effects associated with medication.
