Have you ever been skydiving? I haven’t! Are you crazy? But, I do know this: You have to trust your instructor. It’s very difficult to trust someone that much… We like to be in control of everything that goes on in our lives. Would you consider putting your trust in God? Letting go and fully trusting in God is the best decision you will ever make. The book of Proverbs is full of God’s wisdom, and this is what it says: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t depend on your own understanding. God wants us to depend on His understanding because He knows how to care for us far better than we can care for ourselves. He is strong, He is loving, He is able to carry all of your burdens. Will you put your trust in Him today? Let go of your fear, and your worries, and your anxiety. Bring it all to God, who loves you without reservation. Always remember, there is hope with God. "Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105 radio.hopewithgod.com…
Has anyone ever made a promise to you and then let you down? What if I told you that God has made many promises to you? Better yet, He will never fail you; He will never break His promises. In the Bible, God’s Living Word, the book of 1st Kings says this, Not one of God’s good promises has ever failed. God sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from death. He gave His life to make a way for us to be close with God. Three days after dying on the cross, Jesus rose from the grave, defeating sin and death. God made a way for us to have life. He is a faithful promise keeper. That way is Jesus. Do you want to know God, the keeper of all promises? He is waiting for you with open arms. Put your trust in Him today. Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau. radio.hopewithgod.com…
What encourages you? Take a minute to think about it. Is it a raise at work, money in your bank account, your children’s success, or a particular relationship? There are so many amazing things in life that encourage us. The hard truth is that these things come and go. Money is spent, our children are imperfect, people hurt us. In the Bible, the apostle Paul writes of the deepest type of encouragement possible: we can be united with Christ—with Jesus. In relationship with the God of the universe through Jesus. He is the Servant King who came and gave His life to carry the pain, the sin, and suffering of the world. This is a great mystery, and this is the greatest encouragement. Always remember, there is hope with God. "Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?" Philippians 2:1 radio.hopewithgod.com…
Did you know you can talk to God anywhere, anytime? He listens to your prayers and He responds in love. The Apostle Paul wrote a letter, long ago, to the followers of Jesus in Ephesus. And it said this. He told his people, Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. This just means that when we pray to God, His Spirit is with us, giving us strength and connecting us to God. Do you want to start a relationship with God? Pray with me now: God, I need you in every part of my day. Come and give me strength, give me guidance. I need it. I need connection with You today through Your Spirit. I want to be close to You and I want to follow You with all of my life, all of my heart. I love You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen. Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau. Who is your person in the world? A best friend, a husband or wife, a parent? The person that makes you feel safe when you’re with them. You understand them and they understand you; you can fully be yourself with them. Maybe you don't have anyone like this, and you long for it. God’s holy book tells us that we can have fellowship with the very Spirit of God! The word fellowship means communion, partnership. You can become God’s child. You can receive forgiveness for your past because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. When you choose to give Him your life, you’re forgiven, you’re freed. You’re adopted into His family. And He becomes your person. What a miracle! What a mystery! It’s the most beautiful relationship. Always remember there is hope with God. This is Wendy Palau. "Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?" You know, where I live, we don't get a whole lot of sunlight. We get lots of clouds and lots of rain. But when the sun does break through. Oh my! I can tell you it changes everything! We are not created to sit in overwhelming darkness, losing hope as the days pass by. Just like sunlight naturally brings joy, Jesus brings light into the darkest part of our souls. Whatever darkness you may be facing right now, be encouraged that it is not meant to last forever. Jesus said, I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you will never walk in darkness. Do you want to step into this light? Invite Jesus Christ into your heart right now. Let Him take over. This is why He went to the cross, to make things right between you and Him. To let His light shine in your life like the warmth of the sun. He wants to fill you with this hope, and He wants to do it today. Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau. radio.hopewithgod.com…
Do you feel lost? There’s a story in the Bible, God’s book of truth, it’s a story about a shepherd with one hundred sheep, and one wanders away. He left his ninety-nine sheep to rescue the one sheep that took off on its own. Wow! That is true love. This story represents the love of Jesus for you. He is the shepherd, and we are the sheep. We try to figure out life on our own, and we stray from the shepherd’s care. Even though we run, Jesus loves us so much that He rescues us. He comes for us and He brings us back. He wants to have a relationship with you.. Have you been running from God, afraid that He won’t accept you back? You have a good shepherd who sees you and knows you. Come to Him today! He’s reaching out to you with open arms. Always remember, there’s hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau. Scripture Reference: Matthew 18:10-14 radio.hopewithgod.com…
What’s the most valuable thing you have? What or who do you love the most? The apostle Paul wrote a letter to the early Christians in Philippi to encourage them to follow the way of Jesus. In it, he said… Everything good he had was a loss compared to one thing—knowing Jesus. Not just serving Jesus, but knowing Him. When he wrote these words, he was in prison—everything was stripped away. How challenging for him! The truth is that everything we have, we will lose. And the people we love, they will go. But you will one day face Jesus at the end of your life. Nothing matters more than this, when all is said and done. Will He know you as a friend and welcome you home? Always remember, there is hope with God. "I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done." Philippians 3:7 radio.hopewithgod.com…
It’s like this: You feel a little pain in your chest and think, Huh, I should probably get that checked out. Then you go to the doctor, and he tells you, You’ve gotta eat better, you’ve gotta exercise, get more rest… or else. And you ask, Well, when exactly will something bad happen if I don’t do all these things? Now, what about your spiritual health? Maybe you’ve felt something stirring in your heart—a whisper, maybe, saying, What about God? Find out about Him. But you push it aside. Life gets busy, and you think, A_h, I’ll just deal with that later._ God’s holy book, the Bible, says, People can never predict when hard times come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy. Don’t wait. God offers you life. He’s calling you to turn from the things that are destroying you and run into His arms. Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Ephesians 9:12 radio.hopewithgod.com…
Is this life all there is? I believe that the fact that we want to believe that there is an eternity reveals that it’s there — it's a reality. The Bible clearly tells us that there is an afterlife and that we can have it with God. Jesus Himself said it in John 17, "This is eternal life: that they(that's us) may know You(that's God), the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." How do you get eternal life? How can we be certain? Know God through Jesus Christ. It sounds so simple, and it is! Jesus has done all that is needed for us to know God. How could we say no to this offer? Always remember there is hope with God. This is Wendy Palau. radio.hopewithgod.com…
I was watching a show the other day, and the people just kept saying over and over— “Go to hell! Go to hell!” And couldn’t help thinking to myself…why on earth would anyone want to do that? Hell is not just a word—it’s a real place. A place of regret and darkness. A place of separation from God. And if we refuse His offer of life, that’s where we’re headed. But hold on, there's good news! Jesus Christ made a way. He told His disciples this: “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house there are many mansions, many rooms and I am going there to prepare a place for you.” No more pain, no more grief, no more sorrow. So don’t go to hell. Come with me—let’s go to Heaven together. Say yes to Jesus Christ today. Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau. radio.hopewithgod.com…
Decision-making can feel overwhelming, and everyone claims to have a solution. How do we gain clarity and wisdom beyond our own understanding? The ancient wisdom of the book of Proverbs in the Bible says this: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Proverbs teaches us that wisdom is a divine gift. It says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” By seeking Him, seeking His plan, then we can receive wisdom that we need to navigate life's enormous challenges. And it's not just about material success; wisdom is about living a life of peace and purpose. Proverbs even personifies wisdom as a woman, and says about Lady Wisdom, “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” Are these the paths of life that you want to walk on? Always remember, there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com…
We live in a world where self-discovery is emphasized, but I can tell you from experience, it won’t lead you to the answers you’re looking for. The ancient wisdom of Proverbs says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” A deeper understanding of life doesn’t come from knowing ourselves; it comes from knowing someone so much greater than ourselves. It comes from knowing God, the One who already knows everything about you and wants to help you navigate life's most difficult challenges. If you're longing for deeper meaning, take a moment to seek God right now. Pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. “God, I want to know You. Please show me Your love and Your guidance. I want to know You.” Always remember there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com…
Do you need a friend? In this world where connections are so fleeting, it's easy to get disconnected. The book of Proverbs says this: “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for times of adversity.” What if you could find a friendship that would truly last? The Bible teaches us about a friendship with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus once said this in the book of John, “I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." If you're looking for a friendship that will last, take a moment to pray and ask Jesus to be your friend. Pray this, “Jesus, I want to know You. Thank You for forgiving me, for paying the penalty on the cross that I should have paid. What a friend You are. Amen.” Start that journey today! It started with that prayer, but there’s more to go. Always remember, there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com…
We often feel the pressure to get things right—whether it’s in our work, our relationships, how we live our lives. We try so hard to be perfect, but the truth is, that can be exhausting. What if letting go of the need to be perfect can actually bring us peace? There’s a simple message in the Bible that says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” It’s an invitation to stop striving and to find rest in the one who is already perfect. Trusting in God’s power instead of our own can free us to live with peace and confidence. Not self-confidence, but confidence in the one who loves us so much that He gave His life to save us. It’s time to bring your whole self to Jesus and let Him carry you. Always remember there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com…
