In this episode, I interview fitness professional turned educator and mentor, Jen Dugard about the importance of female specific fitness.
Jen has changed the landscape of how mums are looked after within the fitness industry. In 2016, Jen developed her pre & postnatal accreditation, "Safe Return to Exercise" and has now delivered this accreditation to thousands of trainers across the world.
In the episode, Jen and I discuss-
- why women need to train differently to men;
- how to vet your trainer to ensure they know how to train women;
- red flags to watch out for from trainers;
- why strength is so important for females;
- why our pelvic floor matters; and
- how we can strengthen our pelvic floor and the best way that busy and overwhelmed mums can commencer exercise.
