Life can get really heavy and intense sometimes – much of the time – and we can forget to have fun and feel the joy along the way.

If you are a person whose Passion and Purpose involves caring for those experiencing hardship or oppression, speaking for those whose voices are not heard, righting the wrongs in the world, or protecting the planet, your pursuit though fulfilling can take a toll on your life force.

Just like love, compassion, acceptance, passion, and purpose – joy is an inside job. Fun is a necessary component of self-care.

In this week's Meditation & Healing Circle, we access the inner joy and focus on building that muscle. We explore where you can incorporate more fun into your life journey.

Of course, there are real life concerns and responsibilities that we cannot disregard. For this we give attention to releasing blocks by alleviating guilt, shame, worries, fears, perfectionism, and other burdens that weigh on the spirit, and we focus on increasing faith and trust in the Divine Orchestration of life on Earth.

This is from Part 4: Passion & Purpose, from the upcoming book: The Answer is Love: Questions to Explore as We Transition into an Era of Peace. The question is: “I feel like I take life too seriously, always working and trying to do things right. Where is the place for fun and play?”
