28. OVERCOMING ADVERSITY
Manage episode 342608036 series 3400151
LET LIFE SHAPE YOU.
LOSS AND SADNESS REVEAL WHO YOU ARE.
How you "know" and choose to experience both loss and sadness defines your experience of life's precious moments.
Choose to see loss and sadness as the demonic enemy in your life, and you leave a healthy chunk of life's goodness on the table.
The truth is the darkness that we experience within both a loss and the feeling of sadness, reveals in large part who we are.
How we choose to onboard the feelings of sadness and loss inside of the adversities we experience, determines and creates the edges of our capacity.
It's directly responsible for creating many of our self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that control our lives away from our greatest experience of life.
YOU AND I GET TO CHOOSE WHAT TYPE OF INTERNAL RELATIONSHIP WE'LL BUILD WITH LOSS AND SADNESS.
- Option 1: A heavy, fearfully hustling away from style will complicate, distort and distance ourselves from the gifts of reality that all of life is. It's all about resisting, defending, and blocking. This literally creates a depth of confirmation bias that simply disallows us to see things as they actually are, which always results in us making the wrong decision
- Option 2: A non-heavy, non-anxious, and non-judgemental style will allow us to really get to know the sadness & loss in our lives through a compassionate lens. This allows you to see clearly and fluidly flow with the rhythms of nature. Choosing to operate under compassion rather than fear activates our ability to make clear, confident, connected and right decisions.
