Greg Brady focuses in on a late night demonstration in the city’s downtown core that saw 5 arrests following an altercation between demonstrators and police.. what were they ‘demonstrating’ and why did things get out of control?

Next, Brampton city councillor Rowena Santos and we were talking about rental ads in her city that are targeting international students – particularly girls – and flat out exploiting them – calling for ‘friends with benefits’ in the ad.. How can the city crack down on these landlords? And how can we better protect these vulnerable students?

Lastly, Dr. Kerry Bowman, a bioethicist with the University of Toronto and we were talking about the case of a Brampton Sikh man, who’s beard was shaved off without consent, according to his family, while in hospital at Brampton Civic Hospital. This is a big no-no in the Sikh religion.. We spoke about the cultural significance of this with Dr. Bowman, whose doctoral research focused on cultural sensitivity .. why would this upset the family and what does the hospital have to do to make good with them?
