Owning your rights and your wrongs is the most important thing that you can do when actively pursuing leadership. True leaders take the blame for EVERYTHING, because they do not FEAR failure, but instead they welcome it. Failure is a tool to learn what not to do in order to achieve success at something, and self-discipline is TRAINING yourself to behave a certain way hopefully for the better. Understand that until you can stop making excuses and pretth much accept it's your fault, you won't be going anywhere. Let's talk about it.
