Let's shine a light on the darker sides of modern day spirituality! I think because so many elements of spirituality have been popularised and westernised, some of the magic of the actual practice has been lost. Even something like personal beliefs in a deeper meaning of life has been put into a box of productivity, linearity and capitalistic ideals.

Spirituality isn't always love and light. Spirituality isn't some insane hierarchy of gurus. Spirituality isn't putting the astrological energetics and lunar vibes above your own lived experience of that moment.

Spirituality is meeting those parts of your inner wisdom, doing what you like when it feels good, having fun and feeling the deep stuff - usually all at the same time. It's about time we release the pressure of having an Instaworthy moon ritual or a pretzel-like-yoga body, and that we take people in this community off of the pedestals we sometimes put them on. Your spiritual journey is about you, and all parts of you. Embrace it - because you're exactly where, how and what you're meant to be!
