Transitioning to gas fitting, she became certified to work on gas systems, emphasizing the importance of understanding their fundamentals for household comfort and safety.

Despite facing challenges in a male-dominated industry, Shayla's determination led her to establish her own company, Tiny Technician Ltd., a rarity in the trade industry. Throughout the conversation, Shayla reflects on her experiences, from her involvement in conventions promoting natural gas to her work with propane systems on remote islands.

As an advocate for women in trades, Shayla discusses the importance of representation, mentorship, and culture within her woman-owned and operated business.
