Born in Northern Nevada, but raised in a small town in Oregon, Sheree was raised in a very religious house hold and traveled with her dad often, who was a Missionary in China. She was home schooled at a young age and surpassed her young peers by leaps and bounds, She began college courses at the age of 16 and lived an adventurous life with her travels. But soon enough, at the age of 19, she was forced to work in horrific conditions by a Chinese Mafia ran company, while on a work Visa. Due to her unwillingness to comply by their requests or demands, she was soon KIDNAPPED. After a horrifying experience that lasted hours, she was unexpectedly released and given another chance to make things right in China. This eventually led to a new adventure with a famous Chinese actress, which changed her life once more. Unfortunately, even that portion of her life was cut short and sidetracked due to an illness in one of her family members, which caused her return back to America. From that point on, while dealing with PTSD from the Kidnapping as well as life's new struggles, she found the art of Jiu Jitsu and acquired new passions, which led to new adventures. She is full of positive energy and maintains a special and undeniable glow. It was truly a pleasure and honor to have her share her story with us. Through the first beginning years, he truly was his own guinea pig. He followed in the footsteps of several pioneers before him and put every bit of effort into tracking all the finest details in order to assess himself as accurately as possible and all of the effects each dose and study would have on him. After reaching a high level of confidence in his findings, he began offering therapeutic treatment to his family and close friends, who were desperately searching for a remedy to their personal issues. Growing up on the south side of the city with a father involved in gangs, was a childhood that helped eventually lead Shorty into MMA as an escape from the daily chaos he witnessed or even experienced. Surprisingly, it was that same rough upbringing that helped Shorty naturally progress into his plethora of skills and eventually led him to winning & defending multiple championships, as well as in different weight classes. After achieving such great heights, Shorty used his networking and devoted fans, to create a non profit organization to help the people in his community. The Team Shorty Foundation helps kids, teens, and young adults stay off the streets and instead, guides them into the inside of gyms & training facilities. It helps give them a second chance at life and puts them in front of the proper role models. What started as an Instagram page to showcase cool beards and a clothing line in 2014, has evolved into something not even its originator could’ve imagined....On April 10, 2015 the Miami Chapter was born. and with it came their president, Daniel Perez. When the Miami Chapter got together, they wanted to be more than just a brotherhood; they wanted to be a symbol of hope and prosperity. In April 2015, they did their first charity event, which led to them partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a three year old leukemia patient’s wish come true. Through this event and the Bearded Villains network, they also found his life-saving donor. This act of selflessness and love made their chapter the talk of the community, while inspiring fellow Bearded Villain chapters to participate in charity events as well. As the Miami Chapter, they have worked with : Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Camillus House. We have also participated in several walks such as: Walk to Defeat LS, Autism Walk, Walk to Cure Arthritis, Race for the Cure (Breast Cancer fundraiser) to name some. They have has also been involved with the school system in the Miami-Dade County area by assisting with refurbishing their facilities and collecting back-to-school supplies for inner city kids.With even bigger ambitions and goals set for 2023, Danny quotes, ”Beards have brought us together.
