Today I will talk about what it meant for John to be "in the Spirit." What characterized his experiences in the Spirit? What are the implications for us? What could we hope to experience, while "in the Spirit?"
We talk a lot about the Spirit's ministry and how to go deeper into the things of the Spirit. You don't want to miss this episode, because it's relevant for all of us, not only for the future, but in how we live our lives today.
Whenever I share podcast episodes that focus on the Holy Spirit, there's an unction that comes upon me, a passion to see more of the Spirit's ministry in our own individual lives, in the church at large, and throughout the world.
I sense the Holy Spirit wants to find those willing vessels who want to be a dwelling place for Him. He longs to be released to do the work that He alone can do in us and through us!
Before, I go into the main part of my teaching, I share a pastoral encouragement, and an exhortation about understanding and accepting our unique differences in the body of Christ, so that we can embrace one another's gifts and how they complement our own.
We need both the Holy Spirit and one another!

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. Have you ever done a topical study on a particular word or subject in the Bible? If there was one subject you'd like to learn more about, what is it? (Carve out some time in your schedule, and make a plan to study this subject.)
2. What have you learned from today's episode about what it means to be "in the Spirit?" Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not?
3. Do you have a hunger for more of the Holy Spirit in your life? If so, how will you get deeper into the things of the Spirit? If not, why not?
4. Do you have a fear about surrendering control to the Holy Spirit? In other words, having "waters to swim in," per our discussion in the podcast episode. What will you do to work through those fears and anxious thoughts?
ACTION STEPS
1. Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.
2. Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.
3. Do a study of Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Get a concordance or use the search function in the Blue Letter Bible App. You can look up the word "spirit" and narrow the search down to only the New Testament. Take note of the phrases used, the prepositions, the contexts of the verses/passages, and what they're all saying about the different aspects of the Holy Spirit's ministry.
4. In addition to #3, do another topical study on a different subject, where you trace the word through the Old Testament, New Testament, or both.
5. Start preparing for the days ahead: spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.
