China hits 2024 growth targets

China posts growth of 5 per cent for 2024, achieving government targets following a strong Q4 which was driven by resilient export numbers and stimulus measures from Beijing. Apple stocks weigh on Wall Street with the iPhone maker suffering its worst session since August on the back of poor sales of its handsets in China.
