Dustin welcomes Dr. Victoria Hartmann back to the show and the pair go straight for the heart of darkness. In this one they're tackling what makes someone commit a sex crime, what makes someone kill, and what makes someone keep doing these things over and over? Is it the perfect storm of psychological issues and circumstance that can be detected before anything bad happens, or is it something far scarier? Are these violent actions nothing more than a split second decision made by someone taking a dark fantasy way too far?
The duo also chat about infamous serial killers Ted Bunny and BTK, the shocking case of the Kobe Cannibal, notorious necrophile Karen Greenlee, people who find death sexually arousing, a scientific study suggesting that serial killers are simply human evolution taking hold, the women who are attracted to and date serial killers, and whether or not in the end, serial killers and sex criminals are simply just committing these acts for attention.
At the end of the episode the good doctor gives us a very small preview of her highly anticipated upcoming books, 'The Sexual Art Of Serial Killers' 1 & 2.
