After 141 weekly episodes and nearly three years of consistent podcasting, I'm making a bold pivot - and it's teaching me everything about strategic quitting. As a former corporate engineer turned self-mastery coach, I've learned that success isn't about forcing yourself to stay consistent with strategies that no longer serve you. It's about having the courage to follow your intuition, even when it means letting go of something that's working to create space for something that could work even better. My journey from Cuba to corporate America to coaching has taught me that your 'why' should remain constant, but your 'how' needs to stay flexible. This podcast has been an incredible vehicle for impact, but my intuition is calling me to shift from weekly episodes to written blogs and guided meditations - a return to my childhood love of writing and a deeper alignment with my purpose. In this final episode, I share why strategic quitting isn't giving up - it's creating space for evolution. Whether you're considering a career change, ending a relationship, or pivoting your business strategy, you'll learn how to honor your growth while staying true to your bigger purpose. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: • Why consistency shouldn't come at the cost of alignment • How to recognize when it's time for a strategic pivot • The difference between quitting and creating space for growth • Why your 'how' should remain flexible while your 'why' stays constant • Practical steps for making aligned decisions in your business and life Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. At 23, I had the six-figure engineering job everyone dreamed of, but I felt totally lost. As a Cuban immigrant who came to America with a single mom making $12,000 a year, I thought landing a prestigious position at Exxon Mobil would be my ultimate success story. On paper, I had made it - but internally, I was struggling with a deep sense of disconnection between society's definition of success and what my soul was calling me to do. The journey from that first engineering job to becoming a self-mastery coach wasn't linear or immediate. It took years of side hustles, certifications, and gradually aligning my corporate roles with my true purpose of creating impact. What I discovered is that purpose isn't about the 'how.’ It's about the 'why' that drives everything you do. In this episode, I share my personal transformation from survival mode to purposeful living, including the exact framework I used to discover my true calling. Whether you're feeling unfulfilled in your current role or searching for deeper meaning in your work, you'll learn how to align your career with your soul's purpose without sacrificing stability. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: • Why external success often leads to internal emptiness • How to identify your true purpose beyond societal expectations • The framework for transitioning from survival to purpose-driven work • Why your 'how' should remain flexible while your 'why' stays constant • Practical steps for aligning your career with your soul's calling Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. One sentence from my manager ten years ago completely transformed how I view success and self-worth. As a former corporate engineer turned self-mastery coach, I've experienced firsthand the paralyzing effects of seeking external validation. What started as a simple request for feedback turned into a powerful lesson about self-worth when my manager bluntly told me, "The world doesn't revolve around you." That moment triggered something deep within me because it exposed an uncomfortable truth: I was operating from a place of deep insecurity, constantly seeking approval from others instead of trusting myself. The reality is, most people are too focused on their own insecurities to spend time judging yours - and understanding this is incredibly liberating. In this episode, I share my journey from corporate people-pleaser to confident leader, and how that one harsh comment became the advice I now give myself daily. Whether you're struggling with imposter syndrome, fear of judgment, or the need for constant validation, you'll learn practical steps to break free from these limiting patterns and start living authentically. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: • Why your perception of others' judgment is actually a projection of your own insecurities • How to recognize when you're seeking validation instead of serving your purpose • The difference between asking for feedback and seeking approval • Practical tools to build self-trust and confidence • Why most people forget about your "mistakes" within minutes (and why this is empowering) Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. If you're not actively creating your future, your brain is stuck replaying your past on autopilot. As a new mom balancing business and life, I've discovered the power of mental rehearsal - a scientifically proven technique that can transform your reality. Research shows that 95% of who we are by age 35 is simply programmed behavior, but we can change this through intentional practice, especially during key times like right before sleep. The science is fascinating: A 2004 Cleveland Clinic study proved that simply visualizing exercise increased muscle strength by up to 35%, a significant increase. This same principle applies to every area of life - your mind can literally reshape your reality when you learn to use it strategically. Most people spend their evenings scrolling through social media or responding to emails, missing this crucial window for mental programming that could transform their next day. In this episode, I share the exact nighttime routine I use to program my subconscious mind for success, along with the scientific evidence that proves why it works. You'll learn practical steps to break free from old patterns and create the future you actually want, instead of repeating your familiar past. In this episode, we’re chatting about: • The scientific proof that mental rehearsal can physically change your reality • Why your nighttime routine is more crucial than your morning routine • How to access your subconscious mind right before sleep • The three-step process to reprogram limiting patterns • Practical techniques to create your future instead of repeating your past Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. Your mind is deleting opportunities right now that could change your entire life trajectory. I started as a nervous engineering student who didn’t feel confident speaking English. What I discovered during my journey to landing multiple dream internships changed everything I thought I knew about creating success. What started as a simple desire to find an unconventional path to success turned into a powerful lesson about the science of manifestation and opportunity recognition. The research is clear: your beliefs literally change your brain's ability to recognize opportunities. Just like in scientific placebo studies where belief creates measurable physiological changes, your mindset determines what possibilities you can see. Most people miss life-changing opportunities simply because their beliefs tell them those opportunities don't exist. In this episode, I share my personal story of manifesting multiple internships in the most unexpected ways, backed by fascinating scientific research about the power of belief. You'll learn practical steps to reprogram your mind and start recognizing the opportunities that have been there all along. In this episode, we’re chatting about: • The scientific evidence behind how beliefs shape your physical reality • Why asking others to validate your dreams can sabotage your success • How to identify and transform limiting beliefs that block opportunities • The exact process I used to manifest multiple dream internships • Practical exercises to reprogram your subconscious mind for success Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. Your body is addicted to experiencing the same emotions and the same reactions over and over again. Have you ever felt discomfort in your body before your brain even has a moment to catch up? Yeah, me too. So today, in honor of the New Year, let’s chat about how we’re going to step into a new identity this year by becoming the creator of our lives instead of the victim. A victim mentality can be a sneaky thing. It’s not always super apparent to us that we’re giving up our power in the moment. That’s why I’m going over three of the top tools that help me come back to my creator self when I’m in survival mode. This episode will help you through any major transition. Personally, I’m going through the simultaneous grief and expansion that comes with new motherhood. Maybe you’re stepping into a new phase in your career, exploring romantic connections, or navigating family issues. Whatever it is, when we need to call on a different part of our identities, the context may be different from person to person, but the mechanism for transformation is the same. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: Intentionally embracing a new identity in the New Year How to spot survival mode reactions in daily life Embracing the messiness of transition periods in your life The tools I use with clients to reprogram their minds and step into the creator mindset Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. Your past identity is running your life right now, and you probably don't even realize it. This week, I had a profound realization about how my own past experiences were unconsciously controlling my present behaviors. Even after achieving incredible abundance, I was trapped in old patterns. When you think of past programming, you might think of the huge decisions and life-altering habits that might be negatively affecting your life. You might think of the cycles of addiction and abuse that we’re subjected to when we let our past control our present. But it can touch even the most simple moments. For example, I realized that something as simple as eating at the dinner table felt like a threat to the familiarity of my childhood. If I want to carve a different future for myself and really feel the magnitude of the abundance I’ve created, I have to continually interrogate old patterns. Science shows that 95% of who we are by age 35 is simply programming from our past identity. Our thoughts, emotions, and actions are often running on autopilot , creating the same patterns and results in different shapes. But here's the good news: once we become aware of these patterns, we can choose differently. In this episode, I'm sharing powerful insights about identity detox, subconscious reprogramming, and how to create a new reality for yourself in 2025. Whether you're struggling with career growth, relationships, or personal development, understanding your past identity is the first step to transformation. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: • Why awareness of your unconscious programming is crucial for creating lasting change • How to identify patterns from your past that are still running your present life • The importance of releasing old identities before creating new ones • Simple exercises to start recognizing your limiting thoughts and beliefs • Practical steps to begin reprogramming your subconscious mind for success Connect with me: Website Instagram LinkedIn Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. Becoming a new mom completely transformed my approach to business, identity, and self-mastery. Now, I'm finally ready to share it all with you! After three months away from the podcast following the birth of my baby boy, I'm back with a raw and honest conversation about navigating one of life's biggest identity transitions. This is my most personal episode yet. I'm opening up about my journey with postpartum anxiety. I'm talking about the real challenges of balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship. Most importantly, I'm sharing how uncertainty became my greatest teacher. Motherhood, while being a beautiful and intense experience of love, also comes with a loss of independence. It has changed everything from the way I sleep to the way I work in the world. In this moment, I feel like I am literally becoming a new person. Whether you're a parent or not, this episode dives deep into how we navigate major life transitions while maintaining our sense of purpose. I'm sharing vulnerable insights about therapy, support systems, and why sometimes stepping away from the spotlight is exactly what we need for our next evolution. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about: • Why identity transitions require us to embrace uncertainty • How motherhood perfectly illustrates life's beautiful dualities • The importance of getting support during major life changes • Why stepping away from your work can actually fuel your purpose • How to honor your evolution without rushing the process Connect with me: Website Instagram LinkedIn…
Anytime you notice more of what you want out in the world, you should celebrate that! Jealousy can feel uncomfortable and even fill us with a sense of shame. But instead, I want you to listen to this episode to learn how to transmute jealousy and see it as a compass in your life. I remember when I first got started in the online space, I’d look at creators with thousands of followers and immediately jump to jealousy. But I didn’t want to sit in that energy for too long. And I’m sure you’ve come against moments like this in your journey! When we experience jealousy, we want to make sure that we’re operating from our own definition of success. It’s easy to create an illusion of success and go after that. But what does success actually mean to you? Once that’s clearly defined, you can start to see these pockets of envy as opportunities. I believe that the more I’m noticing what I want, the more clearly attuned I’m becoming to my personal dreams, the closer I’m getting to them. It’s not a matter of if I’ll get what I want, it’s a matter of when . This mindset shift has dramatically changed my relationship with jealousy and I hope this conversation will help you do the same! Having goals, dreams, and passions to work towards is a guiding light in our lives. But how can we move through our current circumstances with acceptance, even if the end destination feels far away? Today, I’m taking you through a practice that has been fundamental for me in the day to day pursuit of my goals. Here’s the thing - there’s an underlying feeling associated with everything you want. If you want a new relationship, you want to feel loved. If you want to start a business, maybe you want to feel more fulfilled. If we can get to the root of the feeling we’re trying to access, we can feel that feeling right now . We actually don’t have to delay gratification until the moment we achieve our dreams. But what about the pain that exists in the now? What if I told you that running from the pain is only making it bigger? I’m going to tell you all about the technique I use personally, and with clients, to move through our pain bodies. After going to a meditation retreat, I was stunned to see the effects of sitting with my pain and actually paying attention to it. This has been the ultimate key to acceptance for me and everyone I’ve worked with. No one is above you. No one is below you. I’ve worked with CEOs of large corporations and people right out of college. You know what they all had in common? They all had insecurities. We might be traversing through a different context, in a different identity. But at the end of the day, we all struggle with comparison from time to time. “How does everyone have it together, except for me?” We’ve all asked ourselves this question at some point. Especially now, with social media as such a huge cornerstone in our lives, comparison can feel inescapable. You know what I think the antidote is? Vulnerability. Most people aren’t opening up about their struggles online. Every time we’re scrolling through Instagram, it’s a highlight reel. But what happens when you open up about more than the highlights? It can feel scary, but people really rally together. Suddenly, people start coming out of the woodwork to say “I’ve experienced that too!” We can empower each other by inviting each other into our stories. The ultimate act of care can only come when people know you need it. Stop comparing your behind-the-scenes with others' highlights, to honor your own pace and individuality, and to recognize that everyone is navigating similar struggles. In this episode, I’m chatting about: The social media illusion of “feeling left behind” Why you’re feeling a consistent pressure to perform and what to do about it Embracing vulnerability as a vehicle to your most authentic self Overcoming the comparison trap Connect with me: Website Instagram LinkedIn Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. Has uncertainty ever disappointed you? Sure, uncertainty can scare you. Uncertainty can confuse you. But after you’ve waded through the waters on uncertainty, have you ever come out on the other side disappointed? I asked a client this question recently. You know what she said? No. Uncertainty has always allowed the universe to surprise me. There are times in our lives when we think we know exactly what we want and exactly how to get there. But I’d argue that we’re often perpetuating past experiences when we feel this way. Uncertainty comes along when we start to pave a new path. This doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a fun experience to be uncertain. But it’s important not to bypass uncertainty in an effort to feel more comfortable. So many people are living their lives trying to dodge discomfort and uncertainty at every turn. But if we really dig into our wildest dreams, do we think we can get there without uncertainty? I definitely don’t think I could. I look up to people in my life who dove head first into uncertainty. For example, my mother left Cuba with absolutely no certainty that it would work out. But I wouldn’t have the life I’m living today if she refused to accept uncertainty. In this episode, we’re chatting about: How uncertainty is showing up in my life right now How I help my clients overcome the fear of uncertainty How embracing uncertainty can lead you to creating the life of your dreams Why “moving fast” should not be the top priority Connect with me: Website Instagram LinkedIn Yanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically. When you find yourself repeating unhelpful patterns, do the opposite of what you want to do. This advice might sound like it goes against so much of our programming. We’re always told “be yourself” and “trust your gut.” And those things are still true! But sometimes, our body wants to take the path of least resistance, even if it won’t help us grow. With the birth of my child approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about abundance and trying to cultivate as much abundance as possible. As a business owner, the thoughts of “how am I going to continue growing me business and a child!?” definitely come up regularly. I’m sure you have your own limiting beliefs that bring that scarcity mindset into play. As one example of a way to break the pattern, I recently hopped off of a call and felt that sense of lack closing in. When I’ve felt this in the past, I’ve doubled down on work! But this time, I asked myself “what would abundant Yanet do?” And that led me to an unplanned coffee date with a friend that put me back in giving mode versus receiving. It’s not always our first instincts that are the most expansive. So I hope you walk away from this episode feeling encouraged to challenge yourself next time you slip into a scarcity mindset! When you become a mother, you start asking yourself “what am I modeling for my child?” Would I want my child to pick up this habit of not taking care of herself? Today’s guest found herself in this exact position one day as she dropped her baby off at daycare. Suddenly, she could see how numb and muted she was becoming. That’s when she reached out to me for coaching! Today, I’m chatting with a coaching client that just so happens to be a close friend from college as well! She’s passionate about serving people and inspiring women, especially women of color, to heal and take charge. We’re talking about the defining moment of becoming a mother. Nilka’s experience as a working woman who did not have a ton of familial support around her is incredibly inspiring! We’re talking about what happens when you, as a mother, try to pretend like you’re the same person you were before having a child. And then we’re digging into exactly how Nilka worked through that difficult transition back into authenticity. For Nilka, the transformation started when she realized that she wanted to model a different way for her child. I can’t wait for you to hear more about Nilka and the book she’s writing titled “Muted,” dedicated to all of the women out there that are learning to live out loud! In this episode, we’re chatting about: Addressing the feeling of “not enough-ness” that so many women face Why Nilka decided to prioritize her self-care and personal development to grow How prioritizing yourself can help you thrive in your relationships and career How Nilka learned to dream again How to navigate big investments in your partnership Connect with Nilka: Instagram Linkedin Connect with me: Website Follow me on Instagram Say hi on Linkedin…
Your daily routine is the armor you put on at the beginning of the day. Now, I know a lot of people struggle with implementing a daily routine. So today, we’re digging into the how and why behind your daily routine. If you think about it, the days that have no semblance of routine at all can often feel directionless and out of control. By giving ourselves small, achievable, repeatable habits to come back to, we’re setting ourselves up for success in the day to day. Don’t feel pressured to make this a morning routine! We all operate on different schedules and we can course correct if we don’t get to it in the morning. I definitely recommend a solid morning routine so that you can put on your armor at the beginning of the day. But we just want to ritualize our experience to enhance our day to day. The number one thing we want to avoid is an “all-or-nothing” mentality. After all, building a new habit is all about resilience and getting back on track!
