Greetings, Leaders.

You are bold as a lion!

The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.

Encourage yourself. Speak aloud. "I am bold as a lion!"

The truthful affirmation of who you are will ignite your spirit, mind, and body to accomplish what seems to be the impossible.

Remember, King David of Israel. As a young teenage shepherd boy, he fought and won the impossible Victory over Goliath.

What can we learn from King David's life as a great leader?

We see that the God we serve can defeat any of the giants in our lives—fear, depression, financial issues, doubts of faith—if we know Him and trust him enough to step out in faith.

We will face many challenges on our journey in life and career. Some may strike fear in our hearts momentarily. How can we prepare and claim the Victory?

Listen to King David's response to the taunts from the giant warrior named Goliath, over nine feet tall, clothed in full armor, and trained from his youth to be a warrior.

Goliath taunts David, as fears, doubt, and circumstances in life and career may taunt us.

Goliath looked David over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him. He said to David, "Am I a dog that you come at me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. "Come here," he said, "and I'll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!"

David replied to the Philistine, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven's Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Today, the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!"

What challenges are you facing today? Be a lion-heart leader and apply the winning strategy of David.

David developed skills, talents, and abilities and relied on his God to make him victorious in every challenge and opportunity he encountered in his life and career journey.

Here are his steps to victory.

1. Clean heart: He prays and asks God to "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit" (NRSV). Psalm 51:10-12

2. Clear Conscience: He prays and asks God to "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

3. Confident mind: "Yet I am confident I will see the LORD's goodness while I am here in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

4. Certain victory: "How the king rejoices in your strength, O LORD! He shouts with joy because you give him victory. Psalm 21:1

You are victorious!

Proclaim it and take steps in faith for your victory day by day!
