The scene:
We are in Lyric’s back-house behind her grandmother’s house - separated only by glass to The Miracles’ old recording studio. Lyric wants to be appreciated in her own right for what she brings to the world - as she should. She also comes from an amazing musical legacy - her grandparents, Claudette and Smokey Robinson, inevitably brought her into this world with exceptional musical talents. Her voice is gorgeous and that is the gift she chooses to share with us. Join me for a chill chat with one of my new favorite sweethearts <3

“Let it be; to not look back on anything. I feel like I’ve felt a lot of times like with losing my dad…maybe if I did this or I did that. […] Even in the hospital…did we make the right choice? …I try to tell myself, it is what it is now, I have to let it be, I can’t dwell on it any more. I have to keep looking forward.”
