10.0 Inner Excellence and ACT: TEASER
Manage episode 410147577 series 3562331
This is the newest release from RenegadePsych and is on a slightly different topic, ACT therapy. I interview Jim Murphy, a renowned high-performance athletes mental coach who has written an incredibly moving and motivating book, Inner Excellence, summarizing what he has learned in his personal and professional journey. Though he does not have a background in ACT, so many of the concepts overlap. The series is supplemented by one of my initial recordings with Rob Goodknight discussing RFT, or Relational Frame Theory, the theory behind ACT, or Acceptance and Commitment Theory. We talk about how understanding the way that our minds work can lead to skills that, when practiced, can lead to a more fulfilling, and ultimately, more successful life. Hope you enjoy!
