Inheriting belongings comes along with more than items - mixed emotions of grief, obligation, stress, anger, resentment and guilt can overwhelm the responsibility of the beneficiary. These mixed emotions are not what we expected to inherit, however, these are common emotions that come with death loss and inheritance of others’ property. These emotions can also fog our capability to discern and make sound decisions about how to honor our loved ones and make the best decisions for ourselves.
