Mr. Weintruab grew up in Bucks County and went to Tennet High, Ursinus College and Temple Law School. He has worked for over 25 years as a prosecutor, and was appointed District Attorney in 2016 and elected to serve in 2017. He oversees a staff of 100 employees including 42 prosecutors.

He is known for his support for many programs that support drug prevention and treatment and is looking for ways to improve the criminal justice system for people with mental illness. He created Ben's Campaign, a free gunlock distribution program and CRIMEWATCH among other programs that help the community.
