During the Northeast blackout of 2003, Pete Bombaci noticed something he hadn't seen in years. He observed people getting together for a BBQ, hanging out with their neighbours and relying on their community. Prior to the blackout and even up to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pete had been noticing that people were focused on themselves and even believed that they didn't need each other.

While working as a bartender at Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto, Pete learned the power of human connection and relationships. He went onto work in Marketing and Sales at Molson Coors, then grew a "hilarious" moustache, and ran Movember Canada. When his five years at Movember came to an end, he decided if he didn't start the movement, known as the GenWell Project, he may regret it for the rest of his life. Check out this episode, and learn how Pete put up a website and just went for it!
