رحلة أحمد المهنية اتغيرت تمامًا لما اشتغل في جريدة "أخبار الحوادث"، وواجه مواقف صعبة شكلت مسيرته. منحة دراسية غيرت حياته في الدنمارك في مجال سرد القصص البصرية ساعدت في صقل مهاراته. وبين مصر والدنمارك في ثورة 2011، قدر أحمد يلتقط لحظات تاريخية غنية بالتجارب.
بتأسيسه لبيت الصورة مع زوجته ريم، أحمد كان عايز يعلم التصوير بطريقة مميزة. فكرته المبتكرة لتصوير المشاهير في مهرجان الجونة السينمائي بعيدًا عن السجادة الحمراء أظهرت المشاعر الحقيقية وأدت لتعاونات رفعت من محفظته المهنية. التزامه بالأصالة بيظهر في عمله على ملصقات البرامج التلفزيونية، حيث بيغوص في النصوص ويتعاون بشكل وثيق مع المخرجين لالتقاط المشاعر الحقيقية.
