Marriage is hard; even when it's good! Jason brings up an excellent point in today's episode of the Far More Podcast; he says that the hard work actually begins when you say "I do." He goes even further to say that the real pursuing should take place AFTER the vows have been exchanged.
Liz and Jason talk about how they've been told numerous times since starting this podcast that they seem to really enjoy each other. They attribute their success in this area to a couple of things: 1) Jason learned from his previous failed marriage that open communication is a non-negotiable and 2) they developed a very solid friendship prior to even dating. They truly enjoy each other's company!
They also give credit where credit is due and that's to Jesus. Without Jesus, they would both be a lost mess in this marriage and it's because of Jesus's saving grace that Liz and Jason continue pressing on even when they hit rough waters.
Liz referenced how different they are when it comes to storytelling and you can find that graphic here.
If your marriage is really going through it right now and you just don't know where to start, here are a few different resources to get you going:
