Rich Rothweiler, Director of Organ Utilization at Mid-America Transplant, joined us to discuss the responsibility of an Organ Procurement Organization in a donor organ recovery journey. Rich's expertise and knowledge in placing donations has helped optimize allocation opportunities across the region. Earlier this year, Mid-America Transplant had the honor of stewarding the gift of life for the oldest US donor on record, Mr. Orville Allen, a 98 year old veteran who's legacy has now passed on to the grateful recipient who received his generous, life-saving donation.
