If we think of the Enneagram as typology only, we run the risks of stereotyping and judgment. A way to see this clearly is to recognize that different types are praised and criticized depending on the Enneagram type of the surrounding culture. They discuss the Enneagram as a map of transformation and how we can see it as a path for raising awareness.
