One of my all-time favorite movies is Field of Dreams, and it holds a powerful lesson about discovering your area of genius. 🎥⚾

In the movie, there's a character named Moonlight Graham, a real-life baseball player who got to play in the major leagues but never got to bat. The main character, Ray Kinsella, says to him, "It would kill some men to get that close to their dreams and not touch it."

That line struck me for years, but the follow-up line from the older version of Moonlight Graham, now known as Doc Graham, really hit home: "If I had only gotten to be a doctor for five minutes, now that would have been a tragedy."

Moonlight Graham’s true genius wasn't on the baseball field—it was in helping people as a doctor. 🩺 This story perfectly illustrates that your passion isn't always your mission. Finding your area of genius is key to discovering your mission in life.
