Michael says "I have been teaching for 15 years, with 11 of those years spent in a primary Catholic school in Ireland and the other 4 years in a private school in Shanghai, China. My philosophy might sound unusual, but I consider myself "pro human." This belief centers on the idea that humanity has an incredible capacity to bring light, beauty, intelligence and positivity to the world however I acknowledge that sadly we oftentimes don't.

Throughout my life thus far, I’ve experienced many ups and downs, but one concept that has profoundly impacted me is gratitude. I stumbled upon this idea during my travels in Vietnam, where I had a transformative experience that underscored the importance of appreciating life’s blessings. Since then, I have made it a mission to incorporate gratitude into my daily life and to impress its value on others. I believe that fostering a sense of gratitude can make life more joyous and fulfilling.

In my gloriously mundane life, I cherish the simple blessings and constantly seek meaningful connections with others. My faith plays a significant role in my journey, guiding me to find and appreciate the beauty in everyday moments. This pursuit of beauty and connection is something I share through my newsletter, which goes out every sunday. It's a short 1-2 min read that seeks to help people find the good in their lives if possible."
