This week we sat down with Asa Shoemaker and her two pet birds Sqeables and Cinder. Asa shared her journey from kid on a BMX bike in Woodstock, NY to a Folsom, CA based XC racer turned downhiller. While still a bad ass on a bike these days her focus is on race course design & promotion for Folsom Rodeoccross, CX at Bariani, W. Sac CX and the Prairie City Mountain Bike Race Series. And through her BABOB (Bad Ass Bitches on Bikes) Life she's a mentor to riders helping them improve their skills to race better and ride more safely.
