Have you ever had a performance where everything went wrong? Or where one thing didn’t go well, but that’s the part you remember and so it just feels like the whole thing was a complete train wreck?
Have you ever received negative feedback after sharing your voice and singing your heart out and it left you feeling beaten down, wounded and timid, unable to ever sing again?
I know I’ve experienced both of these throughout my vocal journey.
In today’s episode, I’ll share a couple of those stories with you and I’ll also talk about how I was able to get back up and keep singing after what may have seemed like failure, rejection, or just an embarrassing mistake that shook my confidence.
As singers, we must learn how to build resilience and develop a thick skin without building walls around our heart… because it is the beautifully vulnerable heart that creates real connection when we sing. So let’s talk about finding that balance and finding the courage to get back up after we fall so we can sing again.
