In this week's episode, Sierra sits down with singer-songwriter Ella Atkinson. They discuss Ella’s techniques for starting songs, how songwriting can be the most honest form of expression, her greatest fears in songwriting, and how ego can sabotage the songwriting process.

Ella Atkinson is an acoustic folk singer-songwriter, who recently graduated from Berklee College of Music. She began honing her craft in High School and has a vast amount of songwriting influences including Ardianne Lenker, The Staves, Leif Vallebek and Madi Diez. She recently released her debut single “the way” which discusses uncertainty, doubt and loss of love.
