Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S16) The Messenger ﷺ titled Talha رضي الله عنه: “Talha al-Khayr”. “Talha the Good”. Whenever Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه mentioned Uhud, he said all credit goes to Talha رضي الله عنه that day. Abu Bakr and Abu Ubaydah رضي الله عنهم upon seeing The Messenger ﷺ again during the intense battle, rushed to him, ﷺ. The Messenger ﷺ tells them to see to their Companion, Talha رضي الله عنه who was severely injured and lost a lot of blood, but due to their immense love for The Messenger ﷺ they went to him first. Abu Ubaydah رضي الله عنه uses his front teeth to remove the lodged helmet chain links from The Messenger’s ﷺ cheek. He lost both his teeth but this only increased him in handsomeness! Talha رضي الله عنه had fallen into a ditch. He had 70 wounds, from swords, spears and arrows, showing he defended The Messenger ﷺ from all distances. اَللَّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ. Talha’s رضي الله عنه hand was paralysed and he lost his index and middle finger. When the other Companions رضي الله عنهم arrived and Talha knew The Messenger ﷺ was now safe, he رضي الله عنه fell unconscious again.
