“Wherever I go, there I am.” That’s not a particularly profound statement when you first hear it, but when we spend time considering its implications, we begin to understand the significant role we play in our own lives. If I’m the one who is always present, then it means I was there for my worst decisions, my regrettable mistakes, and my relational challenges. What if my biggest problem isn’t someone else? What if my biggest problem is me? How do I save me from myself? Surprisingly, the account of the Resurrection of Jesus provides a framework for fixing the thing I seem unable to fix: myself.
