Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to you with the latest forecast for Washington District of Columbia.
Buckle up for a wet and wild weekend, folks! We're looking at a rainy situation that's about to turn our city into a misty wonderland. Tonight, expect some light rain rolling in before 5 am, with temperatures dipping down to a mild 49 degrees Fahrenheit. Those southeast winds will be gentle, barely whispering at around 5 miles per hour.
Sunday's going to be a bit of a soggy affair. We've got rain chances hovering around 70 percent, with showers likely to make an appearance after 4 pm. Temperatures will climb to a surprisingly warm 65 degrees Fahrenheit, with south winds gusting up to 24 miles per hour. Talk about a wild ride!
Sunday night brings even more precipitation, with showers expected before 1 am and a good chance of some patchy fog. We'll see temperatures staying mild around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Things start to clear up on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday brings another chance of rain after 1 pm, and New Year's Day looks to be mostly cloudy with temperatures around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
As we roll into the latter part of the week, expect some cooler temperatures. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 42 degrees Fahrenheit, and Friday will keep things cloudy with similar temperatures.
