Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist bringing you the latest forecast for Washington District of Columbia.
Bundle up, because winter is giving us a chilly welcome today! We're looking at a crisp, sunny day with temperatures hovering near a brisk 32 degrees Fahrenheit. That northwest wind is going to be quite the character, blowing between 13 to 16 miles per hour with gusts that could reach up to 34 miles per hour. So, grab that warmest coat and maybe an extra layer!
Tonight, we're expecting partly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping down to a frosty 18 degrees Fahrenheit. That northwest wind will continue its dance, still whipping around at 9 to 11 miles per hour.
Looking ahead, we've got a pattern of cold, mostly sunny days. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 31 degrees Fahrenheit, and Thursday brings another sunny day with temperatures struggling to reach 29 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weekend forecast gets a bit more interesting! Friday night might bring some snow after 1 am, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. Saturday continues the wintry theme with a 40 percent chance of snowflakes.
By Sunday and Monday, we'll see a slight warmup with temperatures creeping up to a more pleasant 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
