Good morning, New York City! This is your weather update for today.
Buckle up for a chilly day in the Big Apple! We're looking at a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures struggling to reach a high near 40 degrees Fahrenheit. But here's the kicker - it's going to feel even colder, with wind chill values hovering between 25 and 30 degrees. Those westerly winds are going to be pretty spicy, blowing at 13 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 26 miles per hour. So, grab that puffy coat and maybe an extra layer!
Tonight, we'll see some partial cloud coverage, with temperatures dipping down to around 28 degrees. The west wind will calm down to around 9 miles per hour.
Looking ahead to Monday, we're in for a sunny treat, though still on the cooler side with a high near 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will play tricks again, making it feel between 20 and 30 degrees.
Tuesday brings a slight chance of snow showers between 1 pm and 4 pm, with temperatures climbing to near 39 degrees. Expect those west winds to kick up to 14 to 21 miles per hour, with gusts possibly reaching 32 miles per hour.
As we move through the week, we'll see a mix of mostly cloudy and partly sunny days, with temperatures fluctuating between the low 30s and mid 40s. Friday and Saturday have a 30 to 40 percent chance of rain, so keep that umbrella handy!
