Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming in hot (or should I say, cold?) with today's forecast for New York City.
Bundle up, folks, because winter is showing its frosty face! We're looking at a chilly day with light snow making its grand entrance after 7 am. Temperatures will struggle to reach a high of 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and with the wind chill, it'll feel more like a brisk 20 to 25 degrees. Expect winds dancing from west to northwest at 5 to 9 miles per hour.
Tonight, we've got a 30 percent chance of light snow before 7 pm, then the clouds will start to part. Temperatures will dip down to around 23 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chills between 10 and 20 degrees. Hold onto your hats, because it's going to be blustery with northwest winds howling at 11 to 20 miles per hour.
Looking ahead, Tuesday brings us a sunny day with a high near 33 degrees Fahrenheit. But don't let that sunshine fool you - wind chills will hover between 10 and 20 degrees, with winds gusting up to 38 miles per hour. Talk about a winter workout!
The rest of the week follows a similar pattern - mostly sunny days with temperatures dancing around the low 30s, and nights staying crisp and cold. Friday looks like it might be our warmest day, reaching a balmy 37 degrees Fahrenheit.
For those planning outdoor activities, layer up, protect those extremities, and maybe consider a nice indoor activity with a hot beverage.
