Good morning, weather watchers! It's your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to you with the latest forecast for New York City.
Hold onto your hats, folks, because we've got a breezy New Year's Day ahead! We're looking at a cloudy day with a small chance of showers after 1 pm, and temperatures climbing to a mild 48 degrees. Those west winds are going to kick into high gear, potentially gusting up to 44 miles per hour. Talk about starting the year with some excitement!
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies and temperatures dropping to around 36 degrees. Those winds will continue to be a bit rowdy, with west winds blowing between 20 and 22 miles per hour.
Thursday brings some sunshine with mostly clear skies and a high near 40 degrees. Still breezy, with winds potentially gusting up to 44 miles per hour. Bundle up, New Yorkers!
We've got a Wind Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect, so keep an eye on those forecasts. The weekend looks chilly but mostly sunny, with temperatures hovering in the mid-30s.
