When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Learn more at www.lbi.org/kollisch . Exile is a production of the Leo Baeck Institute , New York | Berlin and Antica Productions . It’s narrated by Mandy Patinkin. Executive Producers include Katrina Onstad, Stuart Coxe, and Bernie Blum. Senior Producer is Debbie Pacheco. Associate Producers are Hailey Choi and Emily Morantz. Research and translation by Isabella Kempf. Sound design and audio mix by Philip Wilson, with help from Cameron McIver. Theme music by Oliver Wickham. Voice acting by Natalia Bushnik. Look! It's Max! And he has blue hair like Milhouse. This is the last episode of season 1 and it begins a season of dramatic change for We Shot Mr. Burns. First, you may have noticed our 90s soft rock new podcast image. We're all yellow, yes, but the colors make me feel like I'm eight years old eating at a Hot Dog on a Stick at the mall marveling at all the teenagers buying rap CDs at Sam Goody. Maybe this cover image will get better someday. Who knows! It's far from cromulent. Listen to Some Enchanted Evening here. Buy Volume 2 of the Cockroach Conservatory here. Become a Patron of the Cockroach Conservatory. Buy Max's book, Carnivorous Lunar Activities. Buy Andrew's book, Invasion of the Weirdos.…
First, some housekeeping. Say goodbye to this image for now. Go ahead. Smooch your screen. Love us in all our jaundiced glory. This cromulent threesome is of the past. Buy the shirt here to immortalize it forever and to feed your closet moths. Now turn those smoochy-poochy lips to this new and improved menage-a-four. We're not yellowed yet but we shall be soon. Max Booth III, frequent co-host, will no longer be overlooked nor will he be pointed out every time he's on the show because, neighborinos, he is an equal co-host and a forever-friend. Give him a round of applause. We're all going yellow. Click to Listen Now go become a Patron to hear us gab about the final season 1 episode of the Simpsons before anyone else! Buy Season 1!
