Jesus reveals His authority through the two-edged sword, which cuts through deception and reaffirms the revelation that He is truth. Pergamum was defined as the great throne of Satan. He challenges us on our theology about Satan and how not to permit him or through our words and actions; instead, Jesus wants our faithfulness and loyalty and our communications with others covered in love.
