VCU secured a hard-fought victory against #18 Dayton, prevailing 49-47 in a closely contested game. Jason Nelson led VCU with 11 points, shooting an impressive 75% from beyond the arc. Despite a scoreless final six minutes, VCU’s strong defense also held Dayton without a point.
