Transformation Tuesdays was inspired by the CD "The Jesus Question" by Matthew Kelly. We recap the Gospel from the prior Sunday and give action steps and resources to transform our lives for that week every Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. at Morris Hall. Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Hello, I’m Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione Aaron Emig: And I’m Aaron Emig Again, we are taking it up a notch by learning from a student from Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School as our special guest… This is Joey Crowder… We are now in the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time… This week’s Question is… Do you do good or do bad in your daily lives? The Gospel comes from: Matthew 5:17-37 Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Living a Christian life is not about following a lot of rules --- commandments. It’s about putting God first in your life and making him the most important thing in our life. Joey Crowder: Jesus is trying to help us understand that following the 10 commandments is not the real goal in life. The real goal is getting to Heaven and the commandments are the guidelines that we use to get there. Aaron Emig: Jesus basically tells it like it is… You either do good or do bad… That’s it…there’s nothing in between… Do bad and you will go to Hell… Do good and you will to Heaven… Pretty simple, right? Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Today’s Gospel says, “If you bring your gift to the altar” … to the church, you should first go to reconcile with your brother or sister and then bring your gift. Between now and next Sunday, … is there someone with whom you need to reconcile before you bring our gifts to the altar? Joey Crowder: Living our life by following the 10 commandments brings us closer to God and in turn we can then bring others closer to God. Aaron Emig: We need to be aware of our daily actions… You do bad which is a decision that Satan likes… Or do good which is a decision that Jesus loves… Again, it’s only up to you and no one else… Aaron Emig: Wisdom Words for the Week “Do bad deeds you go to hell. Do good deeds you go to Heaven. That’s it.” Aaron Emig Aaron Emig: Transformation Tool “The Jesus Question” CD from Matthew Kelly Free copies at Morris Hall on Tuesdays at 2:10 p.m. Only while supplies last Aaron Emig: Transformation Tuesdays Prayer…“Jesus, how do You want me to transform my life today?” Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: God Bless from Ss.
