Divine Detours - Part 2 - The Detour of Pride

We're in week two of a series entitled Divine Detours. The series focuses on the unexpected twists, turns, and detours that we experience in life. So often, when we encounter these moments, we see them as setbacks and struggle to recognize that God is at work behind the scenes. He uses these detours to build our faith, refine our character, and ultimately guide us toward our purpose in life. Last week, we looked at Ephesians 2 and laid the foundation for this series. We discovered that, as believers, we have an identity in Christ. We’ve been made new, and with that comes a sense of purpose. Over the next couple of months, we’ll walk through the story of Joseph in Genesis and explore the detours we encounter on the highway toward God’s purpose for our lives. Today, we’re going to talk about a significant roadblock we all face at some point in our faith journey. It’s a roadblock that can often catch us off guard, causing damage and destruction in our lives. If we’re not careful, it can even bring everything to a standstill.
