When Bernadette was 17, her boyfriend, Brian Sugrim, told her that he had murdered someone...and she didn't believe him. Brian was intelligent, charming, and loving-a perfect boyfriend-and Bernadette wanted her "happily ever after." The two got married and started a family...but then Brian started to change. He became angry, abusive, and violent. But Bernadette didn't tell police her husband's secret. Then, after a decade of terrifying abuse, Brian came home one night and confessed to Bernadette that he had just murdered someone else. Only she still didn't go to the police. Would she finally report Brian to the authorities? Or would she help a monster get away with murder?
