Part 1 of A Dummies Guide to the Early Church will help anyone understand the major issues in the Church for the first four centuries. Mainly dealing with Christological issues, i.e. the nature of Jesus, we see one extreme understanding after another. (Jesus is not God! Jesus is not a man!) We'll explain basic concepts and phrases that Christians should be familiar with and you'll leave feeling like you just aced a 101 class in seminary. So we cover the first three "Ecumenical" Councils in this episode. Councils 4-7 are covered in part 2. Thanks to Evan Friske for stopping in to talk to the other Evan.
