While God listens and responds to every prayer we make, not all His actions are based on our requests. Some of God’s acts are based on His nature, which includes, among many things, maintaining His reputation. Some of the good things that we see around us have not been prayed for, but God, who knows what we need and wants to remain God, provides these things. Therefore, we are encouraged to hold on to this God who provides and cares for us, even when we are in the wrong.
